Chokhi Dhani

Chokhi Dhani

Raam Raam sa. You visiting Jaipur ? Have to, absolutely have to goto http://www.chokhidhani.com/. A perfect place for young and old, married or unmarried, male or female.

With a entry fee of Rs. 210.00 /- which includes a sumptuous Rajasthani meal, it's a 4 to 6 hours of incredible fun taking you 50 years back inside ethnic Rajasthan.

You get to see Rajasthani dances, magician, fire dancers, women can put mehendi (Henna), kids can ride camel or horse or bailgadi or ghoda gadi. Eat chaat or moongfali. Go thru caves or mazes. Ride jhoolas, including slides and manual ferris wheel (with a guy in the center rotating it) or buy Rajasthani stuff.

In the end eat sumptuous meals sitting on ground or pattas with awesome khatirdari. Food full or variety and ghee or butter. Go with empty stomach, cuz they gonna force the food down with all the love.
The food is served on pattal and kators made of patte. Starts with 2 sabjis, 2 small cups filled with butter to be used with the rotis and Makkai ki roti. Then 2 more sabji and wheat roti. Then Bajari roti. Then awesome moong daal halua with ghee and sugar. Yes, ghee and sugar !!! I was skeptic too, but it's delicious. Then another halua and finally pappad. Pappd is end of servings, but if you want nething more, they'd love to serve.

We had a great time. You MUST go there once. Sorry no pix, we forgot to take the camera.

ps: Keep lots of 5 Rs coins or change to tip those guys (performers). And only if you are very inquisiive, watch Bioscope ;-)
