Back to Work
Back to work today, atleast for a while. Mouth still sore and some headache. Tired already, so think, I'll leave in a few. Will take some more pix and post'em. My jaw still hurts alot if I try to open it. So, I am not :-)
Missing the SEMICON this time for this. It sucks. Was hoping to collect some goodies while I was there. SUCKS, SUCKS, SUCKS.

Couldn't go to work today
Have had fever for last two days. Still onliquid diet. Gawd gimme a break..it was just a wisdom tooth removal. This suck now. I totally though, I'd be fine by monday. But here I am weak and tired and fortunately, no pain.
Going to see the doc in an hour. Let's see, what he says. But since last nite, no medication except for fever. They were creating havoc in my stomach.
Still got major swelling. Specially on left side.

Got my Wisdom teeth removed
Phew....wow, what an experience. Both upper teeth were coming out at an angle pushing the other teeth and causing tooth decay. The both lower teeth were impacted. I had two dentist tell me I need to get'em removed, and after seeing the X-Ray, I could understand why.
My orthodontist is Dr. Wayne Ichikawa in Campbell, CA. He was pretty good. Kept explaining what he was doing, and whats coming next. I chose to take local anesthesia only. So, I experienced everything. It was pretty kewl.
I think, the worst part is the injections, and then the transition from local anesthesia to Vicodine. I had some slight pain with one tooth (as I have very very strong roots) which was removed by loosening the joint. The lower two were drilled, and it wasn't bad. I chucled couple of times during the process.
I got about 2-3 stiches in two, and about 5-6 in rest. But I am so glad I removed all four at the same time. I tell, you doing two at a time, and going thru the injections again and again, and openingthe jaw for 30 mins to 75 minutes more than once...just too much. Remove all four at one time and go thru all the pains just once.
Anyway, I came home, and I guess wasn't prepared for the bleeding. And since my jaw muscles were sore and stuck, it was very hard to open mouth without pain. I had to replace the gauges, and the only reason it was tough, was cuz of the muscle pain and the blood. I kinda freaked out.
Also since, all my mouth was numb, I couldn't take vicodin. That resulted in me sitting in pain for almost an hour, once the effects of local anesthesia wore out. And it WAS BAD :-).
But once Vicodin and etodolac kicked in, and bleeding stabilized. everything was ok. Had lot of liquids and went to sleep. In the evening, Dr Ichikawa called up to check on me. I thought it was kewl, specially tomorrow being saturday. He promised to call tomorrow too.
The whole experience wasn't that bad. But I am happy I decided to do all four togeather.
It still bleeds off and on. As clot keeps coming out. Thats normal, and should be better tomorrow.....so for now liquid diet :-)
