Hot Pot City Restaurant

"We had lunch yesterday. It was my wife's and my first Hot Pot, although I've had Shabu Shabu a couple of times.

Even thogh I know the whole area is verrrrrrrrrrrry crowded, we were lucky to go late on Martin Luther Kings Bday, and no wait, wohooooooo :-)

So, the food is awesome, with choice of spicy or non spicy chicken broth as base. We took a slipt pot which cost us $3 extra. The lunch was $11.99 per person, ALL YOU CAN EAT and drink.

The stuff to put in pot is on a buffet arranged in 3 areas plus the dessert area.

The choice was between marinated chicked and whole lot of sea food to be cooked on outer foil.

And for hotpot, there was beef, pork, veggies (lots of them), seafood, kimchi type cabbase, jalapaeno, bamboo shoot, etc etc.

There's rice which is available in a big rice pot, and if you like noodles, then you have dry noodles to be cooked in pot.

Then there's selction of spices and vinegar, garlic etc to change the taste of the base.

It took 5 - 10 mins to get the whole cooking thing started (and all of us were hungry so getting restless), but once it did, we hogged like pigs.

The whole experience was very good, and pretty good service. BTW, they charge you i think $3.50 per person if you leave food in plate. We did some, but they did not charge us. So, I guesss if you leave too much, waste food, then they charge which is reasonable."
